Field Service Technician I - Philadelphia, PA (4-Day Workweeks & Company Vehicle)

Job Overview Field Service Technician – Philadelphia Area (Travel) Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will deliver high‑quality customer service, perform preventive maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of Hach devices at municipal and industrial customer sites. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work. Provide on‑site customer support for technical and service‑related problems, promoting a positive customer experience. Submit prompt, accurate service reports that inform billing, inventory, instrument history, and failure analysis. Follow safe work practices and company safety policy during all tasks. Execute administrative activities in support of service visits, including travel booking and vehicle rental as required. Qualifications HS diploma required; associate’s degree or equivalent technical education preferred. Previous experience in travel‑based field service or customer‑facing roles strongly preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude; experience with preventive maintenance, technical diagnostics, and repair is helpful but not required. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent cars and book hotels under state law. Ability to travel regularly; up to 75% overnight stays with company‑paid travel, accommodations, and meals. Must be able to work a schedule of up to four 10‑hour shifts per week, plus required travel, based on workload demand.
