Food and Beverage Operations Manager

OPERATIONS / BRAND MANAGER

Summary: be the day-to-day steward of the guest experience, team development, beverage program, and community engagement. 

Team Leadership & Training

• Lead staff training, onboarding, coaching, and development while fostering a kind, accountable, high-performing team culture.
• Establish and maintain clear standards for hospitality, service, beverage, and daily operations.

Guest Experience & Community

• Be a visible leader on the floor and ensure the guest experience consistently reflects the cafe's values and standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, artists, producers, and community members.
• Help identify and develop collaborations, events, partnerships, and other opportunities that strengthen the brand.
• Protect and actively contribute to the identity, reputation, and values of the brand.

Beverage Program

• Take ownership of the day-to-day health and development of the beverage program.
• Maintain quality, consistency, profitability, and presentation across coffee, cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Develop seasonal offerings and help keep the program creative, relevant, and financially sustainable.
• Monitor beverage inventory, ordering, waste, pricing, and margins.

Operations & Business Health

• Translate the owner's financial and strategic priorities into concrete operational action.
• Identify and address inefficiencies in labor, purchasing, systems, and day-to-day operations, and continuously look for ways to improve the business.
• Build systems and accountability that improve consistency, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
