POSITION: AESTHETICIAN

CATEGORY: NON-EXEMPT

SUMMARY: The Aesthetician provides professional skincare and aesthetic services for our members as listed in the RHCC Spa Menu, including facials, waxing, and other approved treatments. Using outstanding customer service skills, the Aesthetician will also recommend products and services to meet the individual skincare needs of each member.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create memorable experiences with a warm, welcoming personality that members and associates can relate to.
• Share your personal passion for and knowledge of the services and amenities available to members to make them feel right at home. Be able to accurately describe and sell the services and skincare products offered at the Spa.
• Ensure the privacy of each member - this is of utmost importance.
• Provide consultations to guests as needed to evaluate their skincare needs, concerns, and expectations and recommend appropriate services.
• Perform professional facials, skincare treatments, waxing, and other aesthetic services in accordance with training, licensing requirements, and Spa standards.
• Provide excellent customer service, maintain a professional appearance and attitude, and assist in monitoring member feedback.
• Assist with cleanliness throughout the Spa, including sanitizing, restoring, and restocking treatment rooms and equipment after each service.
• Follow all sanitation, infection-control, safety, and emergency protocols, and perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Must have in-depth knowledge of skincare, facial treatments, waxing techniques, product ingredients, sanitation, and safe aesthetic practices.
• Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to communicate and connect with a diverse group of individuals of all age groups.
• Ability to work as a team player and always maintain a professional appearance.
• Ability to work all shifts - days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years' aesthetician experience in a luxury spa, health club spa, resort, or day spa
• Must be at least 18 years of age

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current California Esthetician License required
• Maintain training and continuing education required to sustain a current state-issued Esthetician License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and/or carry items up to 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in a confined space of variable noise and temperature levels
