CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist PositionWe are seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machinist to join our cold forming tool manufacturing team at SFS in Medina, Ohio. This position offers a flexible day shift schedule while supporting a stable and growing manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components. Experience with CNC milling operations is a plus and provides opportunities for cross-training and growth.Essential ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate Mori Seiki CNC turning centers to manufacture precision components.Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and routine adjustments.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.Monitor machine performance and make necessary corrections to maintain quality standards.Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues to minimize downtime.Maintain production and quality records.Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with CNC milling operations as needed.QualificationsRequiredMinimum of 3 years of CNC turning setup and operating experience.High school diploma or GED equivalent.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Experience using precision measuring instruments.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.PreferredExperience with Mori Seiki CNC lathes and Fanuc controls.Experience with CNC milling operations, including 5-axis machining, is a plus.Knowledge of G-code programming and editing.Experience in a manufacturing or tool-making environment.BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experience.Flexible day shift schedule.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holidays.401(k) retirement savings plan.Opportunities for training, advancement, and long-term career growth.Why Join Us?Join a stable and growing manufacturer in Medina, Ohio, where quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement drive our success.
