PICU RN Float - Night Shift

Location: Akron, OH

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated PICU RN Float to provide exceptional nursing care during the night shift. The role requires floating to both the Summa location and the Akron main campus as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in the PICU and a strong ability to adapt to various acute care units, including NICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in PICU, ensuring a high standard of clinical practice.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes as necessary.
• Assist in the care of ventilated patients and utilize special equipment like ECMO and CRRT.
• Support infection control practices and maintain a safe environment for patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of PICU nursing experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Holder of an active Ohio or compact nursing license at the time of submission.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred but not required.
