Regional Development Manager

Position Title: Regional Development Manager (Inland Empire) Reports To : Regional Deputy Director of Development FLSA Status : Full-Time, Salary, Exempt Pay Range : $70,304 - $85,000 Mission : Creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Position Summary The Regional Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s fundraising strategy by supporting donor engagement, revenue generation, and regional development initiatives. This position partners closely with the Regional Deputy Director of Development to execute annual fundraising plans, steward donor relationships, and ensure strong pipeline development across individual, corporate, and community giving. This is a high-activity, externally facing role requiring significant volume in outreach, meetings, and relationship development across a large geographic territory (San Bernardino and Riverside Counties). The ideal candidate is a proactive “road warrior” who thrives in the field, building relationships through cold outreach, in-person meetings, and community presence. This role is both strategic and execution-focused, requiring strong relationship management, project coordination, and data-driven decision-making to meet revenue goals and expand community impact. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in-office, with up to 2 days remote. The role requires active engagement in meetings, events, and outreach activities throughout the workweek, regardless of work location. Key Responsibilities Support execution of regional fundraising strategy aligned with annual revenue goals Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors, prospects, and community partners Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors in partnership with leadership Support corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and grant-related efforts as needed Assist in planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events Conduct high-volume outreach activities including cold calls, emails, and in-person visits to build and grow a robust donor pipeline Maintain a consistent cadence of face-to-face meetings across the region to drive relationship development and revenue growth Donor Engagement & Stewardship Build and maintain meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders Ensure timely donor acknowledgment, recognition, and ongoing communication Track and advance donor pipeline activity, ensuring consistent movement toward solicitation Partner with leadership on major donor strategies and engagement plans Development Operations & Pipeline Management Maintain accurate donor records, activity tracking, and reporting within CRM Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including donor retention, acquisition, and revenue progress Generate regular reports to support forecasting and strategy adjustments Support moves management processes and pipeline health Demonstrate strong organizational skills in managing a high-volume portfolio, scheduling, and follow-up across a large territory Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with program, marketing, and leadership teams to align messaging and impact storytelling Support internal teams in identifying fundraising opportunities within their networks Collaborate on grant support, storytelling, and impact reporting Events & Community Engagement Support planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and community outreach efforts Represent the organization at community events, networking opportunities, and donor meetings Help identify new partnership opportunities to expand reach and visibility Serve as a visible ambassador in the community, with frequent attendance at events and external meetings throughout the region Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in fundraising, development, sales, or relationship management Proven ability to manage relationships and meet revenue or performance goals Strong organizational and project management skills Experience working with CRM systems and tracking data Willingness and ability to travel frequently within San Bernardino and Riverside Counties Preferred Experience in a non-profit or mission-driven organization Knowledge of donor cultivation and stewardship best practices Experience supporting events, campaigns, or corporate partnerships Relationship-building and communication Strategic thinking with strong execution skills Data-driven and detail-oriented Initiative and accountability Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment Self-motivation and comfort working independently in a field-based role KPIs / Success Measures Achievement of individual and regional fundraising goals Growth and movement of donor pipeline Donor retention and engagement rates Number of new donors/partners secured Timeliness and accuracy of CRM data and reporting Volume of outreach activities (calls, meetings, visits) and conversion to meaningful donor engagement Why This Role Matters This position directly contributes to expanding the organization’s impact by ensuring sustainable funding and strong community partnerships. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as occasional standing and walking. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds (such as program materials, supplies, or office equipment).
