Job Summary Responsible for administrative and operational support for Shared Services and property Human Resources (HR) department; including team member engagement oversight, OSHA tracking, VRC licensing oversight, training, administrative upkeep of HR training materials, company intranet, SOPs, and orientations as needed. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates #AddLife culture in all interactions with guests and co‑workers. Maintains high level of confidentiality regarding Team Member issues and documentation in accordance with established procedures with company policy and federal and state regulations. Provides overall operational support to the Shared Services HR department and support to the property HR teams as needed. Acts as the first point of contact to support the overall Shared Services and OTB team members for all personnel inquiries; redirects situations or questions that are outside the scope of responsibilities/authority to the Director of HR – VA. Serves as the liaison between the Virginia Racing Commission (VRC) and each property; ensures the weekly VRC appointment spreadsheet is submitted in a timely manner and updates the HR department of all VRC updates. Oversight of company Team Member Engagement Program; works closely with HR leadership to enhance the Team Member engagement experience. Communicates HRIS updates, trains new team members in HRIS and serves as subject‑matter expert. Produces all HR How‑to Guides, keeps them current, conducts annual audits of each guide, and handles distribution and training. Maintains the training platform, Vector Solutions, ensuring it is up to date with administrative updates, new team members and positions. Maintains the company intranet, Rosie’s Report, updating as needed. Enters and reports OSHA data into the HRIS. Monitors all requisitions consistently for all locations and works with property leadership to promote efficient hiring practices; posts approved requisitions in the HRIS. Assists with all new VA property openings, including job fairs, new hire orientations, trainings, etc. Provides additional support with all hiring efforts during the Live Racing season. Completes and sends all employment verifications for all properties. Processes and submits unemployment claims. Assists with Team Member investigations under guidance of the Director of HR – VA. Assists with planning and execution of Open Enrollment for all properties. Assists with special projects, events, and orientations at all properties. Ensures form I‑9 audits are accurate and in compliance. Directs team member concerns to the appropriate individual, evaluates situations, and makes decisions within established guidelines or obtains proper authorization. Ensures appropriate levels of inventory for the HR office and orders supplies; assists property HR managers with companywide supplies. Resolves problems within scope of authority and recommends courses of action for problems beyond scope to supervisor. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional multi‑tasking and organizational skills. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree. Five years of progressive experience in Human Resources or related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Valid driver’s license with minimum of three (3) years driving experience. Valid racing license. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Required to sit and remain stationary for extended periods; may sit or stand, walk; use hands to reach, handle objects, or tools. May lift up to 50 pounds. May work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work environment may involve moderate to loud noise, crowds, flashing lights, smoke depending on station and guest volume.
