Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Exterior Patrol Driver in Normal, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an automotive location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:30 AM - 02:00 PMWed05:30 AM - 02:00 PMThur09:30 PM - 06:00 AMSat09:30 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout automotive manufacturing, warehouse, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards. Monitor access points, visitor activity, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site requirements, documenting observations and incidents accurately. Assist with maintaining an orderly work environment by communicating professionally with site personnel and contacting Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency services when needed. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
