HR Specialist – Employee Relations

Location: Miami, FL 33132

Work Arrangement: Fully onsite

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to work extended hours as business needs require

Salary: $70,000 annually

Employment Type: Direct hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a bilingual HR Specialist with a strong focus on Employee Relations to join a large, fast-paced organization in the Miami area.

This position will partner closely with employees and management on workplace investigations, progressive discipline, performance management, manager coaching, and employee-relations documentation. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on employee-relations experience and the ability to manage sensitive workplace matters with sound judgment, professionalism, consistency, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

\n
• Manage employee-relations matters, including workplace investigations, employee complaints, performance concerns, and progressive discipline.
\n
• Conduct or substantially support workplace investigations from initial complaint through interviews, documentation, findings, and appropriate next steps.
\n
• Partner with managers on employee conduct, communication, attendance, and performance concerns.
\n
• Coach managers on appropriate employee-relations processes and documentation.
\n
• Draft and review employee-relations documentation, including disciplinary actions, written warnings, performance documentation, and investigation summaries.
\n
• Support performance-management processes and employee-development initiatives.
\n
• Ensure employee-relations practices and documentation align with company policies and applicable employment requirements.
\n
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee documentation.
\n
• Prepare reports and organize HR information using Microsoft Excel.
\n
• Support positive workplace relations and broader HR initiatives.
\n
• Assist with candidate flow and other HR department needs as required.
\n
• Support additional HR and business initiatives as assigned.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 2+ years of professional Human Resources experience with hands-on exposure to employee relations, workplace investigations, and/or performance management.
\n
• Hands-on experience conducting or substantially supporting workplace investigations involving employee complaints, misconduct, policy violations, or other workplace concerns.
\n
• Experience supporting progressive discipline and performance-management processes.
\n
• Experience coaching or advising managers on employee conduct, performance, or workplace concerns.
\n
• Experience preparing or reviewing formal employee-relations documentation.
\n
• Ability to speak, read, and write professionally in both English and Spanish.
\n
• Current authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
\n
• Ability to work fully onsite in Miami, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
\n
• Flexibility to work extended hours when business needs require.
\n
• Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and HR practices.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
\n
• Experience using Excel for HR tracking, reporting, and analysis, including VLOOKUPs or comparable functions.
\n
• Experience working with an HRIS.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Strong organization, time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee matters.
\n

Education

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
\n
• Currently pursuing a relevant bachelor's degree
\n
• Current HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
\n

Preferred Experience

\n
• Experience managing multiple employee-relations matters simultaneously.
\n
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced operational environment.
\n
• Experience preparing documentation related to legal or employee-relations matters.
\n
• Previous HR experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, or another operational environment.
\n

This is a fully onsite position in Miami. Candidates must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and provide additional schedule flexibility when business needs require it.
