You'll work alongside experienced attorneys serving complex planning needs while enjoying long-term leadership and practice-building opportunities within a collegial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on comprehensive estate, trust, tax, and succession planning strategies.Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related wealth transfer instruments.Counsel clients regarding estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning.Handle trust and estate administration matters, including post-death planning and fiduciary guidance.Collaborate with clients' financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop customized wealth preservation strategies.Qualifications / Nice to HaveMust HaveJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active Illinois Bar membership in good standing.5+ years of trusts and estates experience.Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families.Experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and sophisticated estate planning documents.Knowledge of federal and state estate, gift, and trust tax laws.Nice to HaveEstate and trust administration experience.Experience preparing or reviewing federal gift and estate tax returns.Experience advising closely held business owners on succession planning.Existing referral sources or business development experience.Benefits• Base compensation: $235,000 - $300,000• Additional compensation through income origination and income allocation• Annual profit-sharing contributions historically ranging from $10,000 - $28,000• Flexible hybrid work arrangement• Opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team of attorneys across multiple practice areas• Clear and transparent path from Non-Equity Partner to Equity Partner• Strong business development support, sophisticated matters, and a culture that values both professional growth and work-life balancePartnership LevelsNon-Equity Partner: Generally targeted toward attorneys with a portable book of business of $250,000+.Equity Partner: Generally targeted toward attorneys with a portable book of business of $750,000+.Attorneys with smaller books of business who possess a strong desire to grow their practice are encouraged to apply.
