Printer Operator 23Location: Chicago, IL, US, 60609 Job ID: 61299The Printer Operator is responsible for the setup, adjustment and maintenance of coater decorator and related equipment.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESUnderstands and complies with position related safety SOPs and work instructions, especially for Lockout/Tagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, and Personal Protective Equipment.Check machines. Analyze types of mechanical or operational troubles and plan for and take corrective action to maintain quality.Make changeovers or conversions by setting up assigned equipment for change in material, size or product.Check, test, and measure product for quality specifications. Examine for visual defects. Replace worn or damaged parts. Retime machine action.Operate, repair, clean, lubricate equipment, as required, to maintain production. Clear jams. Check varnishes, coatings, inks, lubricants, supplies, and add or change materials.Examine, test, and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specifications using appropriate gauges and instruments and record data. Perform Preventative Maintenance inspection of assigned equipment, report findings and take appropriate action.Notify supervisor of any incidences of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of any poor-quality material or supplies noted. Operate equipment and assist as directed.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCEFamiliar with Personal Protective EquipmentMechanically inclined, familiar with hand toolsFamiliar with proper handling of chemicals/solvents. Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The company also offer a Success Share Bonus that is dependent on the plant meeting certain metrics and targets. Please note that the range for the rate provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois.
