Finance and Accounting Manager

Responsible for leading a team that performs a range of accounting activities to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. This role oversees the preparation and analysis of financial reports, maintains strong internal controls, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The Finance and Accounting Manager develops processes and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting operations. The position collaborates extensively with cross-functional stakeholders and provides guidance, coaching, and performance management for team members.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operations of the accounting function, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Supervise the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for management and regulatory purposes.Ensure accounting records are maintained accurately and in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and ensure timely reporting.Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and tools, and lead related initiatives.Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies.Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management for accounting staff.Collaborate with finance and business partners to support operational and strategic objectives.Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes as needed.Core CompetenciesExecutionAnalyzes and prioritizes the varying aspects of the role, knows and follows the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, and consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances.CollaborationBuilds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives through effective communication that understands the unique needs of different audiences.InnovationCreates new and better ways for the organization to be successful; anticipates and adopts innovations in business, operations, and technology applications.AdaptabilityAdapts and pivots in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations, and moves forward productively and optimistically under conditions of change and ambiguity.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of US GAAP, revenue recognition, and regulatory requirements.Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced reporting tools.Ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing accounting teams.Excellent analytical skills to resolve complex accounting issues.Project management skills to drive improvements and ensure deadlines are met.Strong business acumen and understanding of financial processes.Effective communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders across functions.Ability to balance strategic priorities with operational execution.Typical QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership experience.Demonstrated success managing accounting operations and implementing process improvements.We are interested in all qualified candidates who are eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas for this position.The base pay range for this position is between $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range represents a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
