Sample Processing Associate - 2nd Shift
$14.85 - $29.65 per hourAbbott
Abbott seeks a Clinical Lab Associate I to perform specimen processing operations including accessioning, automation support, and sample handling in a diagnostic laboratory. The role operates Tuesday-Friday, 2pm-11:30pm, under supervisor direction within the Cancer Diagnostics division.
Responsibilities
- Perform specimen accessioning, processing, and racking on laboratory automation systems
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and support equipment maintenance activities
- Document problems and resolutions following Good Documentation Practices
- Handle and dispose of specimens following standard precautions and safety protocols
- Support quality improvements and participate in departmental audits and inspections
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet navigation
- Age 18 or older with legal work authorization
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and tolerate exposure to bodily fluids
- Laboratory or healthcare environment experience preferred
- 1+ years high-volume operations experience preferred
Compensation: $14.85–$29.65/hour
