Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts; rotating schedule includes Days and Nights.

Assignment Details

36 hours per week; estimated patient ratios are 1:1-2.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Intensive Care Unit experience.
• EPIC experience required.
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS. AHA certifications only.
• Proficient in IV start; experience with telemetry and competency with ventilators.
• Specialized experience in multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis, liver failure, and renal failure.
• Knowledge of special equipment including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care setting.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
• Document patient assessments and care in accordance with facility policies.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
