Interventional Radiology Technologist - MD - $10,000 Sign-on Bonus

About The Job MedStar Health is looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Baltimore and Olney, Maryland. This full‑time position offers a limited‑time $10,000 sign‑on bonus. It is a 40‑hour per week job with the following schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm; Wednesday from 7 am to 5 pm. No call and no holiday. We also have PRN openings at Montgomert Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Franklin Square Medical Center. This is a highly skilled technical and professional position that assists with all invasive cardiovascular procedures and other specialized interventional procedures under the direction of interventional radiologists, cardiologists, and vascular surgeons, in accordance with established protocols. The technologist must be proficient in scrambling procedures and in the use of imaging, processing, and patient‑care equipment. Primary Duties Operate and document all aspects of the Cath Lab, functioning as a contributing member of the interventional team, collaborating with surgeons, cardiologists, radiologists, nurses, and technologists. Assist physicians in performing interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures, providing technical skills and ensuring a safe environment. Perform scrub duties, maintain aseptic techniques, ensure availability of imaging equipment and supplies, record data, monitor hemodynamic and angiographic information, and participate in quality improvement data collection. Maintain a clean, safe, and prepared work environment by preparing the procedure room, sterilizing equipment and tables, restocking supplies, and monitoring drug inventories. Maintain current knowledge, certification, and licensure. Identify learning needs, attend continuing education and hospital‑sponsored training, and complete all mandatory certifications within the required timeframe. Work effectively within and between departments, participating in inter‑departmental teams and committees, communicating unit knowledge, and providing constructive interactions with staff, supervisors, and managers. Ensure appropriate sterile instruments are available, coordinate dosimeter badge usage, create quarterly exposure reports for the Radiation Safety Committee, maintain yearly lead survey records, perform daily crash cart checks, precept new Cath Lab technologists, assist in maintaining product counts, and coordinate equipment availability and case scheduling with company representatives and procedural physicians. Qualifications Vocational or technical diploma, or associate degree in radiology. 5–7 years of Cath Lab experience preferred. ARRT license as a Registered Radiation Technologist in Maryland. CPR certification within 90 days. ACLS certification.
