Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI Lab) Nurse in Los Angeles, California. This position involves providing specialized care in the endoscopy and GI lab setting, performing procedures such as colonoscopies, esophagogastroduodenoscopies, and assisting with conscious sedation. Candidates must have a valid California nursing license and bring their license on the first day. The role requires clinical expertise in GI procedures and patient management.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts from 07:30 to 18:00, dayshift, with a 4x10 schedule on various days of the week, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BSN degree, California RN license (no temporary licenses accepted), BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and at least 2 years of experience. Prior GI/endoscopy experience is mandatory; we will also accept pre/post-operative nurses.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical record system, outpatient endoscopy procedures, monitoring conscious sedation, and managing dysrhythmias.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Candidates must meet RTO restrictions of under 7 days if possible. Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate. Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or permanent employees interested in rejoining UCLA must be cleared by Talent Management before submitting. Active employment with any University of California entity disqualifies candidates. Modules are non-billable, up to 4 hours, completed pre-start, recorded via Certificate of Completion.
