The Associate Nurse Technician plays a vital role in direct patient care and supportive tasks under the close supervision of licensed nursing professionals. This position requires adherence to a defined scope of practice and the ability to demonstrate growing knowledge and skills aligned with unit-specific competencies, policies, and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform duties within the approved skills checklist.
• Engage in continuous learning through formal and informal methods to enhance patient care capabilities.
• Uphold privacy and security standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain professional and effective communication with patients, families, healthcare team members, and external partners.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to support department goals.

Education:

Currently enrolled in an ACEN or CCNE accredited Registered Nurse program with at least one full year of clinical nursing completed.

Experience and Certifications:

Possession of a current BLS/CPR certification is required before engaging in patient care activities.

Skills and Abilities:

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization capabilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to apply patient care principles.
• Openness to instruction, feedback, and constructive criticism.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves occasional heavy lifting up to 100 lbs and frequent exertion up to 20 lbs. Standing or walking may be required for 51-75% of the workday, with or without accommodation.
