WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Generate new business through agency-provided leads, referrals, prospecting, and relationship building.
• Conduct insurance needs assessments and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
• Present and sell auto, home, renters, life, and other insurance products within your licensing authority.
• Identify opportunities to expand customer relationships through additional coverage and protection options.
• Develop and manage an active sales pipeline, including consistent follow-up with prospective customers.
• Meet established sales and production goals while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
• Collaborate with agency leadership and team members to support continued agency growth.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

• Previous professional sales experience with demonstrated success generating new business, building customer relationships, or meeting established sales goals.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and closing skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working toward performance goals.
• Ability to learn insurance products and explain coverage options to customers.
• Ability to work full-time, in person, at our Glenmont, NY office.
• Ability to obtain the required New York State Property & Casualty insurance license within 30 days of a conditional job offer and before beginning employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active New York State Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Two or more years of professional sales experience.
• Previous experience in insurance, financial services, banking, automotive sales, or another relationship-based sales environment.
• Active Life & Health insurance license.
• Demonstrated success with customer acquisition, referrals, and cross-selling.

IMPORTANT LICENSING INFORMATION

You do not need an insurance license to apply for this position

However, an active New York State Property & Casualty insurance license is required before your first day of employment.

Candidates who are not currently licensed must obtain the required license within 30 days of receiving a conditional job offer. Employment is contingent upon satisfying this licensing requirement.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Competitive base salary of $50,000-$55,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
• Uncapped commission opportunities.
• First-year hiring incentive of up to $2,000 for qualified candidates, paid in installments with the first paycheck, after six months, and after one year of employment, subject to eligibility and written terms.
