Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to build and lead procurement operations across a growing portfolio of healthcare facilities. This individual will establish processes, manage vendor relationships, and oversee purchasing strategy to support efficient, compliant, and scalable operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and implement purchasing processes and systems across multiple facilities

· Oversee procurement for all operational needs, including dietary, medical, and facility supplies

· Manage vendor relationships, negotiations, and contract performance

· Ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory purchasing requirements

· Standardize purchasing practices across buildings to improve cost control and efficiency

· Collaborate with operations and finance teams to align purchasing with budget and reporting goals

· Build and scale the purchasing function to support growth (anticipated ratio: 1 director per ~15 buildings)

· Monitor inventory practices and identify cost-saving opportunities

Qualifications

· Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in healthcare or nursing home settings

· Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in healthcare procurement

· Experience building processes and systems from scratch in a growing organization

· Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and organizational skills

· Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

· Strong collaboration skills across departments
