Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant
We are looking for an organized, proactive, and solution-oriented Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to support our Finance Manager and assist with the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of our company.
Responsibilities
- Process and manage employee payroll
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation
- Prepare, organize, and maintain new hire and employee documents
- Assist with onboarding and hiring paperwork
- Enter and categorize expenses, bills, payments, and transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Perform basic bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documents
- Assist the Finance Manager with financial reports, data entry, and daily accounting tasks
- Follow up on missing invoices, receipts, employee documents, and other required records
- Help improve administrative and accounting processes
- Identify problems and provide practical and efficient solutions
- Handle additional finance and administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Payroll processing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
Who We Are Looking For
We are not looking for someone who simply waits for instructions. The ideal candidate is active, responsible, resourceful, organized, and proactive. We want someone who can recognize a problem, research possible solutions, and take initiative to help resolve it.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager and play an important role in keeping payroll, bookkeeping, employee documentation, and daily financial operations organized and accurate.
