Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $20 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Skilled Carpenter:

• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and quality requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Use various tools to cut and craft wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
• Employ hand tools such as squares, levels, and chisels, and power tools like sanders, circular saws, nail guns, and welding machine
• Fasten materials together using nails, screws, staples, and adhesives, and perform a final check to ensure accuracy
• Use a tape measure on nearly every project to reduce waste and ensure that cut pieces are the correct size

Job Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Basic knowledge of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials
• Ability to measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials under supervision
• Familiarity with reading simple construction drawings, sketches, and work instructions
• Experience assisting with framing, cabinetry, roofing, flooring, or general construction work
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively
• Physical fitness to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn advanced carpentry skills
• Previous construction or carpentry experience of 1-3 years preferred
• Skilled carpenter with experience in the fabrication and assembly of prefabricated bathroom unit
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawing
• Experienced in operating woodworking tools and machinery safely and efficient
• Skilled in installing bathroom fixtures, fittings, and component
• Capable of performing finishing work to meet quality standard
• Drug Screening Required
