Lynch Marini & Associates Inc is seeking a talented Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. Duties and Responsibilities

· Providing quality and professional service to our clients.

· Preparation of individual, partnership, S-corporation and nonprofit tax returns.

· Working with senior members of the firm on corporate, trust/fiduciary, estate and gift tax returns.

· Preparation of adjusting journal entries and financial statements for tax or financial reporting purposes.

· Providing attestation services including Audit, Review, Compilation and Agreed-Upon Procedures under the guidance of firm partners or managers.

· Continuous analysis of tax situations to identify possible tax strategy changes.

· Identifying, understanding and delivering the service that meets the needs of the client.

· Timely and effective communication with clients and firm management.

· Assisting with training and development of interns and staff accountants.

· Analyzing internal firm procedures and recommending changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

· Strong proficiency in accounting concepts, basic financial statements and trial balance.

· Familiarity with common Federal and Massachusetts tax codes, rules, regulations and elections.

· Emerging tax research skills and exposure to more complex tax situations

· Working knowledge of audit and review procedures, documentation, and financial reporting standards (FASB, GASB).

· Proficient in using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

· Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information.

· Strong numeracy and analytical skills.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Strict attention to detail, and able to self-review.

· Adaptable to changing IT environments, programs and standards.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

· CPA or CPA candidate, a plus.

· At least four years of related experience.

· Experience with Thomson Reuters Suite a plus (UltraTax CS, GoFileRoom, Engagement Manager, Virtual Office CS, NetStaff CS, Practice CS).
