Accounting Bookkeeper

We are a well-established, family-owned leader in wholesale distribution and supply chain solutions. Built on a foundation of trust and dedicated service, our team is seeking an experienced Accounting Associate / Bookkeeper to manage the daily finances of our growing company.

In this role, you will keep our financial engine running smoothly by recording daily transactions, managing vendor payables, handling payroll, and generating reports for leadership. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced distributor environment.

** Primary Duties and Responsibilities **

  • ** Daily Ledger Management: ** Review, verify, and input daily financial transactions into the correct general ledger accounts with high accuracy.
  • ** Reconciliations: ** Reconcile bank statements, credit accounts, and large multi-faceted bank accounts regularly.
  • ** Accounts Payable: ** Process payments to vendors as they come due, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of company expenditures.
  • ** Payroll & Admin Support: ** Manage and process company payroll efficiently while maintaining accurate employee financial records.
  • ** Tax Compliance: ** Prepare and complete required local, state, and federal business tax forms.
  • ** Internal Reporting: ** Generate regular financial reports and summary statements to assist upper management with strategic planning.

** Requirements and Qualifications **

  • ** Experience: ** 3+ years of professional bookkeeping or corporate accounting experience, ideally within a wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • ** Education: ** High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • ** Technical Skills: ** Strong proficiency with ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • ** Core Competencies: ** Demonstrated understanding of payroll processing, standard bookkeeping principles, and managing/balancing high-volume or large bank accounts.
  • ** Soft Skills: ** Sharp mathematical accuracy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the discretion necessary to handle sensitive financial data.
