Health Services Manager

The Cedars of Marin provides person-centered day programs and residential opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities that inspire them to live creative, productive, healthy and joyous lives. Cedars has been supporting adults with developmental disabilities for more than 100 years.Cedars is looking for a Health Services Manager for our Residential Program. In this position you will use your professionalism, experience and compassion to support the medical needs of Cedars residents.This position is full-time and exempt, with an anticipated schedule of Monday - Friday. We can reasonably expect the annual salary to be between $75,000 to $85,000, depending on experience. Additionally, a bonus of up to $1,000 will be distributed over the course of the first year of employment.Primary Job FunctionsDisplay caring, professionalism, excellent communication skills and sensitivity as you work closely with other staff to support the health, and address the medical needs of residents.Have experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities and understand the special health care conditions of adults with developmental disabilities, such as dementia.Oversee medical and medication administration records and systems.Manage a team of 3 staff members.Accompany residents to appointments.Serve as a liaison for residents, staff, families, regulatory agencies and health care providers.Demonstrate strength in leadership, management, and organization.Assess, develop and maintain departmental systems that ensure smooth and accurate operations.Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, including emergencies, and to calmly problem-solve.Be proficient in MS Office and databases.Demonstrate excellent communication skills with individuals who interact in various ways, both verbally and non-verbally.Have experience in hiring, managing, and evaluating staff.Willingness to be on-call for emergencies.QualificationsExperience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred.A desire to help others achieve their full potential.Medical background, skills and a working knowledge of healthcare terminology.Proficient in the use of email and the ability to use a database.Must communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.A clean California driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving, and a willingness to drive a passenger van.The ability to pass a pre-hire screening including background check with the FBI and DOJ, and a pre-employment physical, including TB test.CPR and First Aid certifications (or the willingness to acquire both).An upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor are very helpful!Cedars benefits are for full-time (30+ hours/week), regular employees:Medical, Dental and Vision InsurancePet Insurance(403B) with matching of $.50 on the $1.00 on a tenure scalePaid Vacation, Sick, 3 Personal Days and 10 paid HolidaysFlexible Spending Account PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployer paid Life/ADD insurance policyEmployer paid Long Term Disability InsuranceWork Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr CEDARS OF MARIN
