U.S. citizenship is required. SkillBridge Program Overview RTX Corporation offers a SkillBridge Fellowship for transitioning military service members to gain experience in aerospace and defense. Fellows receive military pay and benefits and are not compensated by RTX during the fellowship. Upon successful completion, fellows are encouraged to apply for full-time positions. Eligibility Active-Duty orders in the U.S. Armed Forces Eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29 All TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date Approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command What You Will Do Research, develop, and implement novel algorithms for solving customer challenges related to Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Develop software systems to train and test ASR systems Build new ASR models for customer data and domain Interface with DoD clients supporting ASR research systems Qualifications You Must Have Eligible to participate in DoW SkillBridge Active DoD TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance Typical requirement: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline and 8 years of experience, or MS graduate with degree and 5 years of experience Strong Python programming skills Experience with the Linux command line Experience in Machine Learning Empirical research experience Qualifications We Prefer Bash programming Hands‑on experience with Speech Recognition technologies Experience with ESPnet Experience with PyTorch Knowledge of software development in Python Benefits SkillBridge fellows are not eligible for RTX employee benefits during the fellowship; benefits may become available upon conversion to full‑time.
