About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years Required License: Must be held prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience Required Description: MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO WORK CHARGE. Charge shifts are generally 1-2 per week, with occasional variations. In most cases, the charge nurse is not included in staffing, except when call-ins or unforeseen staffing challenges occur. Charge pay is offered. Patient Ratios: 1:4. First timers accepted with limitations. No more than 1 of the 3 contracts for first-time travelers. Weekend shifts are required. On-call requirement is not applicable. Clinician is expected to float within scope to meet facility needs. Open to accommodating block schedule; to be discussed. Local residents are not accepted. Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Travel experience required. Patient diagnoses include General Med/Surg requiring Progressive Care Unit level of care. Skills required include management of cardiac drips, dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, and tracheostomy care/management. Travelers must float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities. Background policy must be noted prior to submission. Prior employees must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler. Breaks to reset eligibility prior to the traveler’s year mark are required for former travelers.
