A non‑profit health system comprised of six hospitals in the Portland, OR area, is excited to hire an Epilepsy Program Director, additional neurologists, and vascular neurologists/neurohospitalists to their hospitals in Portland‑Vancouver metro area. Current needs include Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Neurologists or Clinical Neurophysiologists, as well as General Neurologists. All hospitals are 10‑15 minutes from downtown Portland. Their flagship hospital has 554 beds and is only one of two level‑1 trauma centers in Oregon. Health System Highlights: 6 hospitals, including flagship location – one of only two Level 1 trauma centers in Oregon 70+ primary care, specialty, and urgent care clinics 3,000+ physicians and providers 14,000 employees system‑wide Neurology department includes neurohospitalists, outpatient neurologists, and APPs, with collaboration across disciplines including functional neurosurgery Growing 20‑person neurology department (9 neurohospitalists, plus 8 clinic neurologists and 3 APPs) Current Opportunities Epilepsy Program Director: Opportunity based at Medical Center in Northwest Portland Core responsibilities include outpatient clinic, EMU service, and EEG interpretation. Epilepsy fellowship training and a minimum of five years of post‑graduate experience in outpatient epilepsy management and EEG interpretation required Ideal candidates will have experience with an epilepsy surgery program Collaborate with functional neurosurgeons and support staff Evaluate patients for surgery Grow program to achieve NAEC epilepsy center certification Join a collaborative team of 9 outpatient neurologists (including one epileptologist), 4 clinic‑based APPs, and 10 neurohospitalists The epilepsy program includes a 4‑bed EMU and a comprehensive epilepsy surgery service. Provide outpatient consultation and longitudinal care for patients with epilepsy and other neurological conditions.
