This role partners with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions while providing technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers.**Job Description****Responsibilities*** Work collaboratively with other development staff, including contract and offshore Software Engineers, and business product owners in an agile environment.* Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications and services.* Participate in technical analysis, solution design, and system architecture discussions.* Contribute to design reviews and provide recommendations for complex technical challenges.* Evaluate solution options considering business requirements, scalability, security, performance, and cost.* Develop and support integrations, APIs, and distributed application architectures.* Partner with internal and external resources, including vendors and offshore teams, to deliver project objectives.* Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.* Support production applications, troubleshoot issues, and participate in problem resolution efforts.* Present technical concepts and project updates to technical and non-technical audiences.**Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Three years of experience developing software applications using [Primary Programming Language/Platform].* Strong understanding of software development principles, object-oriented design, and application architecture.* Two years of experience with database design, development, and data modeling concepts**.*** Experience developing, supporting, and integrating enterprise applications.* Experience working with APIs, service-oriented architectures, and system integrations.* Experience utilizing cloud technologies and modern development platforms.* Familiarity with source control, automated testing, deployment automation, and CI/CD practices.* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.* Effective verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience leading or contributing to application modernization, cloud migration, or platform transformation initiatives.* Experience working with enterprise authentication and authorization solutions in large-scale customer-facing applications.* Experience leveraging AI-assisted software engineering tools and modern development practices.* Relevant technology certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Java, or equivalent).* Experience within Insurance, Retirement, Wealth Management, Financial Services, or other regulated industries.**Working Conditions*** Hybrid Office Environment (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays)* Work outside of normal business hours may be required* Occasional Travel <10%*This job description is not a contract of employment nor for any specific job responsibilities.
