Role Description The Service Manager role at Orkin in South Burlington, VT is a full‑time, on‑site position responsible for overseeing daily service operations and ensuring high‑quality customer experiences. This role includes supervising and coaching service technicians, scheduling and dispatching routes, monitoring service performance, and supporting adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The Service Manager collaborates with sales and office teams to address customer needs, resolve service issues, and drive service efficiency and profitability. Additional responsibilities include reporting on operational metrics, maintaining accurate records, and reinforcing Orkin’s service standards and brand reputation through leadership and example. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including supervising field staff and providing coaching and performance feedback. Strong customer service and communication abilities, with experience resolving service issues and building long‑term customer relationships. Organizational and time‑management skills to coordinate schedules, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate documentation. Basic business and operational acumen, including understanding of service metrics, cost control, and process improvement. Ability to work on‑site, including occasional field visits, and comply with safety and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with common office software and mobile technology used for routing, reporting, and communication. High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in business, management, or a related field is beneficial.
