Nurse Practitioner - Johnson City, TN (8 hours per week)

Overview Marathon Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate to provide primary care and preventive services on an 8‑hour per week schedule. This role offers a small patient panel, focused on health outcomes rather than volume, and emphasizes autonomy and patient-centered care. Responsibilities Practice relationship‑based medicine at the top of your license. Deliver comprehensive primary care, including prevention, chronic disease management, and health education. Conduct patient visits ranging from 20 to 60 minutes with minimal administrative tasks. Utilize resources such as UpToDate and RubiconMD for clinical support. Participate in regular provider meetings (journal clubs, grand rounds) for professional development. Qualifications Active NR or PA license and current board certification (ANCC or AANP for NP; NCCPA for PA). Independent practice provider preferred (where permitted by state regulation). Federal DEA number preferred; may be required for full prescribing authority. CPR/BLS certification required at start date. Experience in family/primary care, routine wellness visits, chronic care management, and urgent visits preferred. Full practice authority strongly preferred where applicable. Compensation Hourly rate: $63.00 – $76.00 per hour, dependent on geographic location and experience.
