Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual assessments to develop personalized therapy plans and ensure that each client's unique needs are met.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused short therapy for a diverse range of clients.

• Offer therapy sessions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and other mental health conditions.

• Collaborate with other professionals and care teams to design a comprehensive approach to client care, enhancing the continuum of services offered.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring the confidentiality of client information.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Happy Habits, you will work with a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from children and adolescents to adults, with various mental health needs. Many of our clients face significant barriers to accessing services, which requires you to be adaptable and sensitive to their individual circumstances. Your ability to create a safe and trusting environment will be central to their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Must hold an active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of practical counseling experience is preferable, ideally within clinical settings.

• A solid understanding of legal and ethical guidelines governing practice in the mental health field.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse client base.
