Make a real difference as a Special Education Teacher specializing in ASD Level III support in a dynamic middle school setting. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work full-time (40 hours per week) in a collaborative, supportive environment for a long-term substitute position starting as soon as possible and continuing through November.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction for middle school students within the ASD Level III program
• Provide individualized student support to promote academic and social-emotional growth
• Manage caseload, including writing and implementing IEPs
• Develop and adapt learning activities based on unique student needs
• Partner with building staff and related service professionals to foster student success
• Communicate progress and collaborate regularly with families and team members
• Maintain thorough documentation in line with district and legal requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (required)
• Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of middle school curriculum and best practices in special education
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities, including case management
• Previous experience with IEP development and progress monitoring
