Clerical Specialist

The Clerical Specialist provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the department or office.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

• Prepares routine, department-specific documents and correspondence.
• Contacts internal and/or external customers, attorneys and courts via mail, fax, telephone, or e-mail to provide or request needed documents and provide status updates.
• Reviews and assembles documents and materials for court proceedings, ensuring proper signatures are obtained, documents are notarized, appropriate exhibits are attached, etc.
• Takes inbound calls, directs calls, and conveys messages, as required.
• Performs computer data entry to create and update account files.
• Complete all required training applicable to this position.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 6 months relevant business experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Skill with Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to pass a detailed background check and drug screen

Compensation and Benefits:

• The expected pay range for this position is $19.48 hr. - $23.47 hr. based upon experience

Close visual acuity is needed to read, analyze data, and view a computer terminal for extended periods.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. It is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will experience low to moderate noise levels and moderate interruptions. The workspace is well-lit and climate controlled.
