Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Proposal Specialist III. This role will work closely with the marketing team, business operations, and support staff to bring strong leadership, sharp compliance, skilled writing, and creativity to some of our must-win West pursuits. The job includes leading large proposals and presentations, and supports from pre-RFP project positioning through to interview stage, as required.This position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule and can be based from a variety of locations in the US where AECOM has an office.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Leads medium to large proposals and presentations, and supports from capture through to interview stage, with support as required.Creates annotated outlines and content plan and provides recommendations to technical teams on section structures. May serve as lead writer and editor for tailored resumes, past performance sections, executive summaries, and/or management approaches for proposals.Facilitates color reviews (Pink and Red team), quality reviews, and applies lessons learned to add value to proposals. Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on direction from review teams.Participates by providing recommendations in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities as they pertain to preparation for the proposal.Completes internal debriefs for proposals they lead, leverages past pursuit debrief information. Supports team during win/loss debriefs and gathering of client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvement.May support marketing or pursuits strategy and content development related to clients/markets, marketing communications, campaigns, account managers (CAMs) and business lines, as necessary.Coaches entry level proposal team membersPerforms a self-check of work prior to submitting to others for review/approvalQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.A developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation strategy development and compliance, writing and production.A strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign and Acrobat, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Experience demonstrating leadership qualities.Excellent writing skills, with an aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.Proven organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule, and lead deliverable efforts by others; and the proven ability to manage documents.A detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including AECOM's projects, people, credentials, and competitors is highly preferredA working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.An understanding of CRM Salesforce experience is a plus.Additional InformationThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the futureRelocation assistance and/or per diem is not offered for this positionThis posting is for a current vacancy, and AECOM intends to fill this position by November 21, 2026.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
