Medical Support Assistant (Office Automation)

Job Title
The duties include:
- Performing the full range of receptionist, recordkeeping and miscellaneous clerical duties within the ambulatory setting.
- Verifying patient information for accuracy; coordinating referrals of patients to other specialty services for future appointments.
- Entering, manipulating and/or retrieving information and data from automated systems as appropriate to the area assigned.
- Completing request forms, manually or automated, for individual patient orders, blood work and other requests.
- Scheduling appointments using an appointing software program; receiving patients in the front reception area of clinic.
- Inputting medical information to complete patient orders/records.
- Utilizing various computer programs to electronically check-in/check-out patients.
- Receiving patients as the initial point of contact in the clinic.
