Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - CVICU

SCHEDULE
Shift: Days 06:45-19:15
Hours options: 36 or 48 hours available
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract length: 13 weeks

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years critical care experience
- Required unit experience: CVICU or open heart/post-cardiac surgery
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with post-cardiac surgery care, dysrhythmia interpretation, ECMO management, IABP, and VAD

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct patient care to adults recovering from open heart surgery and other cardiac procedures.
- Monitor and manage complex cardiac devices and physiological parameters.
- Administer medication and perform necessary interventions per physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Orientation: Must be available for daily classes during the first week.
- Scrubs: Navy, white, or a navy/white combination.
