Contract RecruiterThe Contract Recruiter is responsible for executing full-cycle recruiting activities, including attracting, sourcing, assessing, and hiring candidates across high-volume exempt and non-exempt roles in support of Hayes Company/Knight-Swift Supply Chain's business needs and culture, while partnering closely with Hiring Managers and HR Team. The Recruiter is expected to actively manage candidate pipelines, ensure a positive candidate experience, and maintain recruiting momentum across multiple requisitions. This individual plays a critical role in delivering timely, high-quality hires while supporting broader talent acquisition strategies established by the HR team.This is a temporary position expected to last approximately 8 months.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer supportExecute high-volume recruiting efforts across multiple locations, maintaining strong pipeline flow and responsivenessReview resumes, conduct phone screens, and assess candidate qualifications against role requirements and cultural alignmentCoordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a seamless and professional processPartner with hiring managers, HR and Compensation Manager to understand role requirements, hiring priorities, offer requirements, start dates, and other detailsSupport the development and refinement of job descriptions and hiring criteriaProvide regular updates on candidate pipeline status, interview progress, and hiring activitySource candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and database searchesBuild and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needsSupport hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach efforts as neededDeliver a positive, professional, and culture forward experience for all candidates, regardless of outcomeEffectively communicate the company's culture, values, and opportunities to candidatesMaintain timely communication throughout the recruiting processMaintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ADP Applicant Tracking System (ATS)Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policiesSupport consistent recruiting processes and documentation standards across all rolesTrack and support reporting on key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, pipeline activity, offer acceptance)Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, candidate quality, and process effectivenessStay informed on recruiting trends and best practices to support ongoing improvementPerforms other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience in recruiting and talent acquisition, with a focus on high volume recruiting for both hourly and salaried positions in distribution, logistics or manufacturing highly preferred.Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferredExperience recruiting for roles within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or similar industries preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levelsAbility to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to effectively assess candidate qualifications and make sound recommendationsProficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting toolsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of responsivenessPhysical Demands:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Frequent telephone and video conference usage.Occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds (e.g., career fair materials).Ability to work in an office environment with standard office equipment.Work Environment:Primarily office-based with occasional visits to warehouse facilities.Fast-paced and collaborative team environment.Travel Requirements:Travel may be required for job fairs, training, site visits, or meetings with off-site teams (20-30%).Equipment Used:Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneHayes Company/Knight Swift Supply Chain is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment regardless of race, gender identity, gender expression, age, color, religion, disability, veteran's status, sexual orientation, or any other protected factor.
