ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a surgical intensive care unit setting. This position involves a rotating schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, with the potential for some variability to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor vital signs and manage advanced medical equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and health management.
- Participate in all required orientation and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the ICU specialty.
- MUST hold a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is required.
- Must be able to work at least every other holiday.
Additional Requirements
All travelers will be required to complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation, achieving acceptable scores on both.
Work Schedule
This position operates on a rotating shift basis with Night (7 PM - 7:30 AM) and Day (7 AM - 7:30 PM) shifts available. While we aim to accommodate preferred schedules, please note that shifts may be rotated as necessary.
