Step into an impactful role supporting students' health and well-being throughout the upcoming school year. This is an exciting contract opportunity for two Certified School Nurses (CSNs) or CSN students, each based in a bustling, collaborative school environment in Romeoville, IL. You'll provide essential healthcare leadership in either a high school (7:15 a.m. – 2:25 p.m.) or elementary school (8:25 a.m. – 3:40 p.m.), working 37.5 hours per week from August 2026 through late May 2027.

As a Certified School Nurse, you will manage the health office, conduct medical reviews, and play a key role in IEP and 504 plan meetings. These core responsibilities are integrated and essential to your position—not divided among staff. The ability to work closely with colleagues and adapt to changing needs is vital; your collaborative, flexible approach will help ensure students receive the support they need each day.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a PEL endorsement for Certified School Nurse (CSN)
• Completion of, or active enrollment in, CSN coursework (1–2 years typical duration)
• Previous CSN experience is highly preferred
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a significant advantage
• Demonstrated reliability and strong attendance record
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and flexibility

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the school health office
• Complete comprehensive medical reviews for students
• Actively participate in IEP and 504 meetings, collaborating with educational teams
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with students, families, and staff
