Description

Responsible for performing BPCS, distribution and audit functions to ensure accurate reporting of inventory movement.

• Performs BPCS, distribution and audit functions
• Operates a lift truck in a safe manner – checking it daily to ensure there's gas or an electrical charge, oil, and water.
• Checks and confirms that the wheels of the trailer being loaded are chocked.
• Assists with cycle counting and physical inventory.
• Performs duties according to Good Manufacturing practices (GMP's) and plant rules and regulations.
• Responsible for lifting up to 100 pounds, as required.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Adheres to common safety guidelines/practices.
• Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP's, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Leadperson.

Qualifications

• Fully trained and knowledgeable of distribution, inventory control procedures and related computer systems and equipment.
• Ability to operate all department equipment (i.e., lift truck, hand truck, etc.)
• Previous experience working in a food processing plant
• Basic math skills
• Ability to record data onto a spreadsheet
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Ability to communicate to management and co-workers
• Ability to work in all environments
• Ability to work overtime, as required
• Must have a good attendance record
• Must have safe work habits
• Ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner
• The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
• The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).
