Plant Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements. Document daily maintenance activities, monthly checklists, tank inspections, weekly housekeeping logs. Maintain, test, and perform preventative maintenance on boilers at prescribed intervals. Troubleshoot and perform routine mechanical functions including electrical, air and electrical pumps, steam and condensate systems, pipefitting, welding, changing valves, measuring brackets, putting gaskets, etc. as needed to keep the plant running efficiently. Proactively plan future preventative maintenance, capital and budgets, then perform the work on all equipment. Organize inventory of parts, tools, price shop and order parts, etc. necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on all equipment. Responsible for housekeeping duties as assigned by Lead Maintenance, Mechanical Services Manager, or Plant Manager. Prepare reports for services rendered, tools used, or time required for billing purposes. Contribute as a team member or Safety Committee in Operations to ensure maintenance needs are being met. Follow safety rules, PPE, and ensure safety training and compliance are up to date. Be required to be on‑call and to come in and take care of maintenance needs that arise outside of normal working hours as assigned by Plant Manager or Mechanical Services Manager. Provide customer service and maintenance assistance as required by external customers. Have knowledge of hand tools and be able to run a pipe threading machine. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 5+ years of experience in plant related maintenance. Ability to operate forklift/skid loader equipment; driver's license required. Basic knowledge of electrical (110 V, 240 V and 480 V single and 3‑phase) required. Pipe fitting, pipe fabrication and threading, welding, air and electrical pump experience required. Good troubleshooting skills required. Knowledge of computers, Excel, Word, etc. required. Knowledge of automation and process controls essential; in‑house training provided. Ability to work on boilers, condensing and steamed boilers highly desirable. Aptitude for fiberglass piping a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
