What You'll Do
- Provide expert consultations for new patients and follow-ups
- Review imaging and support tumor boards
- Develop treatment plans using advanced modalities such as CT simulation, IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and brachytherapy
- Participate in case documentation and quality assurance
- Collaborate with radiation therapists, physicists, nurses, and dosimetrists
- Support emergent and palliative care needs within the department
- Maintain accurate case logs, especially for stereotactic cases
What You Need
- MD/DO with BC in Radiation Oncology
- Missouri state license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Proficiency in advanced radiation planning and delivery techniques
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
About the Assignment This hospital-based radiation oncology department supports a diverse adult patient population, implementing cutting-edge techniques such as 3D conformal planning, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, HDR brachytherapy, and intracavitary/interstitial implants. The team includes radiation therapists, physicists, nurses, and dosimetrists, working together to deliver precise and compassionate care. The facility utilizes the EPIC and Aria platforms for documentation and case management.
