About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care Float Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a large urban hospital License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EPIC charting experience - Ability to float frequently to meet the facility needs - Ability to work 2 of the 3 major holidays Description: Holiday coverage is needed. All staff are required to work 2 of the 3 major holidays, which include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs. The facility will assign travelers to a unit based on their experience. If travelers have a preferred unit, they should call this out at the time of submission. Travelers may be assigned to a sister campus nearby. All units may include a variety of patient care settings, focusing on different specializations. Care teams include CNAs, care techs, transport teams, and paramedics. LPNs may also be assigned on some floors. This is a 100% nicotine-free facility. Weekends require 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Requests for time off are permitted, but must be submitted with the application. Travelers must work 2 of the 3 major holidays, and this request should be submitted with the application. Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility. Pending licenses are accepted, but if the license is not in hand at the time of submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out. RNs are required to wear designated scrubs with the facility logo. The facility sells T-shirts that can be worn in their company store. COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons. Additional qualifications include prior experience in charge roles and required skills in telemetry and the management of dysrhythmias. Continuing support is offered through various interdisciplinary teams. This position involves working with adult and geriatric patients in critical care and medical-surgical environments.
