About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of prior experience required in a large, urban hospital. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - Previous experience managing drips and care for critically ill patients. - EPIC charting experience required. - Must be nicotine-free. Description: This is a critical care nursing position in a medical intensive care unit. The unit provides care to critically ill patients with various medical illnesses. Ratios are 1:2-3 during the day and 1:2-3 during the night shifts. Registered Nurses must be prepared to float between units as needed. Floating may include units with lower acuity levels. Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, IV medications, and monitoring patient conditions. Experience in high-acuity environments and with various critical care procedures is essential. All travelers must comply with facility policies, including holiday requirements. This position may involve working weekends as per scheduling needs. Travelers must work a predetermined number of weekends and holidays.
