The unit has a 45-bed capacity and provides care for hemodynamically and medically stable trauma patients. You will care for patients admitted from the emergency department, transferred from ICU, or coming from surgical services. Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with a maximum of 1:7 at night in rare cases. Floating is required to meet staffing needs within the facility. Travellers will float between various units as necessary. Weekend shifts include four weekend shifts out of eight possible in a four-week period. You will need to work two out of three major holidays. Medical/drug testing is required prior to start. Candidates must possess 2 years of nursing experience in a similar environment. Candidates will be required to adhere to a nicotine-free policy.
