Account Executive / Senior Account Executive – Federal IT Sales

METGreen Solutions is hiring experienced federal IT sales professionals. We are considering candidates for both Account Executive and Senior Account Executive positions and will determine the appropriate level through the interview process.

Federal IT sales experience and an established, portable book of business are required. We’re looking for people who can bring existing relationships to METGreen, develop new opportunities, and take ownership of their accounts.

What you’ll do

• Build and grow relationships with federal customers, including contacts across assigned agencies and programs.
• Proactively identify customer needs and develop opportunities before formal solicitations are released.
• Manage opportunities from initial customer engagement through solution development, pricing, quotation, proposal, and award.
• Sell a range of IT solutions, including hardware, software, cloud, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, and professional services.
• Work with OEMs, distributors, and partners to obtain competitive pricing, coordinate deal registrations, and develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Manage federal purchasing opportunities involving contract vehicles such as NASA SEWP, BPAs, IDIQs, and GWACs.
• Prepare and review accurate quotes, proposals, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain a qualified pipeline and accurate customer activity, opportunity records, and forecasts in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with sales leadership, technical resources, Account Managers, and other teams to move opportunities forward and support customers after award.
• Participate in customer meetings and occasional in-person visits or industry events.

What you’ll bring

• A proven record of selling IT products or solutions to federal customers, preferably with a federal IT reseller or VAR.
• An established, portable book of federal customer business and relationships you can actively develop.
• Strong knowledge of federal procurement processes and contract vehicles.
• Experience working with OEMs, distributors, and technology partners.
• The ability to independently develop business, manage multiple opportunities, and follow through on the details that bring deals to completion.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

Compensation and benefits

The Account Executive base salary range is $65,000–$70,000 . The Senior Account Executive base salary range is $80,000–$100,000 . Both positions are eligible for commission; the structure depends on the position.
