About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Estimating Manager to lead the pricing and estimating function for architectural interior projects, including acoustical ceilings and walls .

This is a leadership opportunity for someone with a strong background in estimating, pricing, architectural fabrication, construction, or manufacturing who enjoys working with technical drawings, improving processes, and developing a team.

You’ll work closely with Sales, Operations, Production, Procurement, and Design to ensure projects are estimated accurately, efficiently, and in line with company margins.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage the estimating and pricing team.

• Oversee project intake, RFQs, estimating, pricing, and quote approvals.

• Develop and maintain pricing guides, cost databases, and estimating processes.

• Analyze costs, pricing, margins, and project requirements.

• Review purchase orders and pricing changes.

• Coordinate project revisions, scope changes, and expedited requests.

• Develop and improve estimating SOPs and workflows.

• Train, coach, and mentor Estimators and Sales Representatives.

• Balance team workload and monitor performance.

• Review and approve estimating documentation and project outputs.

• Partner with Sales, Production, Procurement, Design, and Product Development.

• Support estimating automation using AutoCAD/LISP scripting tools .

• Serve as the primary resource for estimating questions and escalations.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of progressive experience in estimating, architectural fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or a related technical field.

• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or training employees .

• Strong understanding of pricing, estimating, and cost analysis.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and technical drawings .

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and accountability.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

• Architectural interiors

• Acoustical ceilings or walls

• Architectural fabrication

• Specialty construction products

• Custom/project-based estimating

• AutoCAD or Rhino

• AutoCAD LISP scripting

• ERP/MRP or CRM systems, including NetSuite

• Manufacturing processes and product assembly/detailing

• Estimating process improvement and automation

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Design, or a related technical field preferred.

• Equivalent education and experience will be considered.

You should be proficient in:

• ERP & MRP Systems
• Commodity Purchasing Experience
