Chief Credit Officer

Position OverviewA growing financial services organization is seeking a Chief Credit Officer to lead underwriting, credit risk, and portfolio management functions. This executive-level role will be responsible for credit strategy, risk oversight, underwriting performance, and portfolio quality while supporting the company's continued growth. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience within commercial lending, alternative finance, fintech, or revenue-based financing environments and can balance disciplined risk management with sustainable business expansion.ResponsibilitiesLead underwriting, credit, and risk management functionsDevelop and enhance credit policies, risk frameworks, and approval processesOversee portfolio performance, pricing discipline, and risk exposureManage and mentor underwriting and credit teamsReview and approve high-value or complex transactionsPartner with executive leadership on growth strategy and risk managementMonitor portfolio trends, credit quality, and loss mitigation effortsDrive process improvements, automation, and underwriting efficiencyQualifications3+ years of experience in underwriting, credit risk, commercial lending, alternative finance, or fintech lending3+ years of leadership experience managing underwriting or credit teamsExperience with MCA, revenue-based financing, commercial lending, or similar productsStrong expertise in cash-flow underwriting, risk assessment, and portfolio managementTech-savvy with a high level of comfort using modern financial technology, underwriting platforms, data analytics tools, CRM systems, and workflow automation solutionsExperience improving underwriting systems, workflows, or credit models preferredExcellent analytical, leadership, and decision-making skillsCompensation & Benefits$150,000–$200,000 base + bonus depending on experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunityPaid time offExecutive-level growth and leadership opportunityAbout the EmployerA rapidly growing financial services company that provides flexible working capital solutions to small and mid-sized businesses nationwide.
