Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in grades K-4 near Sharon, MA as a dedicated Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact within a school setting, bringing expertise in pediatric physical therapy and fostering functional mobility and participation within the classroom and school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current PT license in Massachusetts (PT MA credential required)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to elementary-aged students (K-4), focusing on improving mobility, strength, balance, and participation in daily school activities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor and document student progress toward therapy goals
- Educate staff and families about strategies to support students’ physical development and integration
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
This contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through January 2027. The schedule offers a consistent workload of 15 hours per week, spread over 2 days—providing exceptional work-life balance and flexibility.
