Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated healthcare professional for a key role in a long-term care facility located in Vestal, NY. This position offers a mid-shift schedule, requiring availability for five 8-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required.

Key Details

• Start Date: Ongoing; start dates every two weeks due to orientation schedule
• Shift: 14:45 - 23:15 (Mid 5x8-Hour)
• Patient Ratios: 1:18-20 in a 300-bed facility
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing, with a focus on Alzheimer's and dementia patient populations
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend upon facility request

Licensing & Requirements

• Must possess an active New York State nursing license
• No history of licensing issues accepted
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proof of license must be provided at time of submission
• Ability to pass a medication administration test and clinical observation
• Strong attendance and punctuality mandatory

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Perform medication passes accurately and safely
• Monitor and report changes in resident conditions
• Complete timely and accurate documentation
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units
